The Bereishis Yom Kippor Connection-AhMbDvd

One might ask why talk about creation as important information for Yom Kippor?

The answer lies in our understanding of Tshuva. The word repentence and atonement are often used as the equivalent of Tshuva. In truth Tshuva means to return. The ideal which is obtainable in Yom Kippor is to be able to have your slate wiped clean of all aveiras (sins) as if they had never occurred. There are various connections with "In The Begining" the creation which is explained in Torah. Look for that hopefully in the later afternoon today (bli-nedder)..

The Holy Ari

The Holy Ari: "The Arizal himself wrote relatively little. From his own hand we have novellae on two Talmudic tractates. These have been included in his teacher's 'Shittah Mekubetzet.' His writings in Kabbala were included in Rabbi Chaim Vital's Etz Chaim and are marked by Rabbi Chaim with the preface 'found written in manuscript.' There is also a commentary on a small section of the Zohar and a few hymns for the Sabbath from the master himself. The bulk of his teachings were recorded by his disciples, in numerous works, primarily by Rabbi Chaim Vital"

The First Light

The first light was not the light that we now understand to be light. However that light which has been plucked from creation and hidden away until the point that we as a people could obtain merit to be able to receive this light is a bit beyond the scope of this initial post.

However this blog will be updated at a later time either this evening or after midnight, bli-nedder.

For now suffice it to say that there is a direct reference to a star which was plucked from the heavens during the time of the Waters of Noach. At this time it should be clear that Hashem felt that the entire population of the earth did not have the merit to continue to exist. The name of the star either was Kimah or was a star in the Kimah constellation.

Noach had obtained enough merit to continue to exist, however it was not until Avram, later to become Avraham that there was some one qualified enough to become...

(To be continued)

For now lets just agree that light has value only if there is some system or beings in place which could utilize this light.
